Sallie Wells to Become Clariden’s Head of Strategic Planning

Southlake, TX – July 16, 2020 – The Clariden School, a North Texas leader in accredited, private PreK – High School STEAM education, today announced the hiring of Angela Naples as Interim Head of School for the 2020-21 school year. Ms. Naples will immediately take over day-to-day operations of The Clariden School, working closely with Sallie Wells who is transitioning to a new role as Head of Strategic Planning. Ms. Wells served as Head of School for the past 8 years and led the school through a period of high growth and the launch of its current award-winning high school program.

Ms. Naples brings with her more than 30 years of educational experience. She previously served as Founder and Head of School at Atlanta Academy in Roswell, Georgia, from 2000 to 2019. While there she oversaw the growth of the school from 13 to 350 students. She was also responsible for growing the school from a Kindergarten through 5th-grade program, to a PK2 through 8th-grade program.

Ms. Naples holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from The University of Southern Mississippi, a Master’s Degree in Reading Instruction from Mississippi College, a Master’s Degree in Education Leadership and a Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership from Georgia State University.

“Ms. Naples quickly distinguished herself with a powerful combination of school leadership experience and her educational philosophy. Her values align effortlessly with Clariden’s vision and culture, making her the ideal fit to lead us through our transition,” commented Connie Kazewych, Chair of Clairden’s Board of Directors. “She brings with her an impressive educational background.”

Ms. Wells is now Head of Strategic Planning for The Clariden School. In this role, she will focus on long-term strategic initiatives to continue and sustain Clariden’s growth of educational program offerings, accreditations, and its physical campus.

“For many years now, The Clariden School of Southlake has shown tremendous progress through growth of our award-winning programs and our student population. Due to these developments, The Clariden Board of Directors has been strategizing around how we can continue to be successful, while providing the same level of service to all of our community members. In order for us to grow, our leadership must also grow. We are happy to announce that we have hired Sallie Wells as the new Head of Strategic Planning. The board is very excited for her, and the opportunity that this creates for our school,” stated Clariden’s Board of Directors.
