COUGAR PREP – KINDERGARTEN Physical Education
Practicing balance, technique, and movement sequences; locomotor skills, listening and following directions, mastering varied movements with speed, direction, and spatial awareness; enhancing eye-hand coordination and movement control; refining fundamental movement skills such as tossing, throwing, dribbling, kicking, volleying, batting, and jump roping; gaining familiarity with game concepts and rules; learning about personal safety, health, and hygiene practices; and appreciating the importance of nutrition and exercise for overall well-being.
1st GRADE – 5th GRADE Physical Education
Practicing balance, technique, and coordinated movement patterns; mastering sequences that involve visual tracking, and repetition; executing movements with varying speed, direction, force, and spatial awareness; enhancing eye-hand coordination and precise movement control; refining fundamental movement skills; comprehending game concepts and rules; grasping principles of personal safety, health, and hygiene; recognizing the advantages of nutrition and exercise.
6th GRADE-12th GRADE Physical Education
Students explore a wide range of sports, games and activities that help with movement and motor skills, teamwork, sportsmanship, personal/social behavior, health education, and lifelong fitness. Beyond mastering physical skills, body management, and spatial awareness for success in these activities, students are expected to utilize feedback for improvement, provide constructive feedback to peers, prioritize safety, enhance coordination, demonstrate self-direction and responsible conduct, achieve team objectives in competitive settings, employ effective conflict resolution, and approach new skills with a positive mindset.

Brittany Chavez is passionate about fostering a love for fitness, health and lifelong wellness. Brittany has 12+ years of experience in the coaching and teaching field and has dedicated her career to inspiring students to lead an active lifestyle and have fun doing it! Brittany is dedicated to empowering the next generation by instilling a love for activity while promoting the values of sportsmanship and teamwork.
Brittany holds a BS Degree in Kinesiology/Sports Medicine from California Baptist University. Brittany is certified in CPR and First Aid.
From her earliest days as a child athlete to her role as a dedicated Physical Education teacher, Brittany's journey has been fueled by a deep-seated love for sports and fitness. Through her high school years, she proudly represented her school on the Varsity soccer team all four years, along with Volleyball and Track and Field. Brittany then went on and got a college scholarship to pursue her dreams of playing soccer at the collegiate level. She also joined the college golf team. As an adult, Brittany plays indoor soccer, trains Jiu Jitsu, and works out in her spare time.
