Clariden is currently undergoing exciting growth on campus in its physical facilities and size of its student body. A state-of-the-art Upper School STEAM building opened in Fall 2022 and we just completed a comprehensive Safety and Security project. 
 

Teaching Load:
The Upper School English teacher will teach courses across 9th-12th grades, including English Language and Literature within the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme (DP) (years 1 and 2). There is also a possibility of offering unique elective courses in Middle School and/or Upper School. Additional responsibilities include serving as an advisor for a small group of students and supervising study halls. There are additional opportunities to lead/assist in advising student clubs and activities (National (Junior) Honor Society (NHS/NJHS), Student Council, etc.). This position is for the 2025-2026 school year, and the candidate's employment will begin on August 1, 2025. 

 

Requirements: 
A minimum of a baccalaureate degree or equivalent in English or equivalent experience within the field of education. Experience teaching in the IB DP a plus. 
A strong understanding of how adolescents learn and develop; observation, documentation and assessment of students’ work; curriculum development; and professional and instruction practices. 
A strong desire for professional development and a demonstrated growth mindset.
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of the academic subject(s) assigned.
Ability to instruct and appropriately manage student behavior.
3+ years of English teaching experience strongly preferred, but will consider all applications with educational background in English and/or the humanities.

Position Summary:

The Part-Time Business Office Associate performs and provides support of the following Business Office functions: accounting, budgeting, risk management, banking, human resources, payroll, purchasing, receivables, payables, cash management, and tuition assistance. The position reports directly to the Head of School and works closely with the administrative team in support of school operations. Maintains professional relationships with the school’s banks, lawyers, auditors, insurance and benefit brokers, government regulators, architects, contractors, and vendors.

Accounting Functions:

· Coordinate and support annual financial statement, audit and tax return preparation through outside professionals.

· Bill and invoice families for tuition, special programs, and other amounts due, while maintaining excellent customer relations. Experience working in management systems like FACTS, Blackbaud, etc. highly desired.

· Enter transactions, family data, create reports and perform research in FACTS related to enrollment and tuition.

· Procure goods and services by placing orders, maintaining the school’s purchase order system, and evaluating and paying invoices.

· Work with HOS and Board to establish policies and procedures which provide adequate internal control capabilities and measures to safeguard the school’s assets.

· Prepare reports, compliance certifications, and other information required by lenders and loan documents.

· Partner in the School’s tuition assistance process, including preparation of materials, compilation of data for tuition assistance committee, record keeping, notification and follow up.

· Administer and maintain all property, casualty and liability insurance for the school.

· Sales tax management and compliance.


Human Resource Functions:

· Perform and coordinate human resource functions including employee relations, policy documentation, and administration of payroll and benefits.

· Evaluate and maintain relationship and contracts with the payroll processing company and ensure payroll taxes and reporting are accurate and timely.

· Administer and maintain employee insurance and benefits program and 403B program.

· File and maintain employment records, performance evaluations, goals, and employee credentials and licenses.

· Maintain compliance with governmental regulations and changing regulatory environment by staying current on law and regulations that may affect compliance with support from TAAPS, benefits broker, our attorneys and other information providers.


Other Functions:

· Support and fill in for other Administrative positions as needed, including food service, answering parent/student questions, answering the door or phones, participating in or managing school events, accompanying students, visitors and/or vendors/repairmen on campus, and car line duty.

· Support accreditation and accreditation compliance processes by preparing reports and necessary documentation.

· Review/prepare vendor contracts for HOS approval.

· Review and prepare lease agreements for rental of campus facilities.

· Oversee preparation for and compliance with governmental and insurance inspections (e.g., fire alarm system including extinguishers, sprinkler and hydrants, workers compensation site reviews and audits, department of labor audits).


Required Qualifications:

The position requires a college degree, preferably with an accounting, finance, or human resources concentration. A CPA license, MBA, or other related advanced degree is an asset. Position requires 3-5 years of accounting and/or human resources experience, preferably in an academic environment; Also requires knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and experience with automated accounting systems.

Position requires excellent communications skills, and good interpersonal, organizational, leadership, management, and supervisory skills. Position also requires skill in use of accounting software system QuickBooks, FACTS, expert-level Excel knowledge, as well as advanced Word processing and Power Point skills. Position requires the ability to work independently as well as with staff, teachers, parents, and

community groups at all times to exhibit a positive attitude, to be self-motivated and to be able to cope successfully with stressful situations, schedules, and deadlines.

The ideal candidate will also set an excellent example for our students, be a trusted and reliable support for Clariden team members and its Board of Directors and maintain utmost professionalism and confidentiality at all times.

Job Summary:
The Middle School/Upper School Division Head reports to the Head of School. The division head is charged with the comprehensive responsibility of all curricular and non-curricular development/activities involving students and faculty in the Middle and Upper School to create a dynamic learning environment. The division head also oversees the hiring and supervision of instructional personnel, including the International Baccalaureate (IB) Coordinator. 
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 
The division head will: 
- Maintain congruency between the school’s board-approved mission statement and all activities of the division. 
- Act as the educational leader of the school division, responsible for its day-to-day operation. 
- Direct the activities of the school’s instructional staff in the performance of their duties. 
- Maintain the budget for the division. 
- Function as the chief articulator of the division’s programs, expectations, behavioral guidelines, and other information necessary to ensure that all constituencies are fully informed consonant with their individual roles. 
- Be a visible presence in all areas of the school. 
- Be knowledgeable and able to articulate advances and trends in pedagogy and education. 
- Review and evaluate the academic programs, including horizontal and vertical curricular flow. 
- Lead the academic policies/curriculum committee in the articulation of the school mission, school goals, department/division goals, course objectives, materials, methods, and means of assessment. 
- Observe, supervise, and help evaluate the faculty, including through classroom observation. 
- Serve as a consultant to teachers in matters of classroom management, teaching methods, and general school procedures. 
- Oversee and direct the activities of the teaching faculty, the sponsors of various student organizations and activities, and faculty committees. 
- Provide an orderly, controlled environment in which learning can take place in a school climate that is supportive and reflects high morale. 
- Be aware of the educational, physical, social, and psychological needs of the school community, and develop plans for meeting those needs. 
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements of government regulations and agencies, and maintain the educational standards established by the state and by those agencies that examine and accredit the school. 
- Make recommendations to the Head of School regarding the hiring and retention, and the assignment of faculty. 
- Establish programs for the in-service training and team meetings of all teachers, and for the evaluation of classroom teachers. 
- Ensure that teachers are familiar with and adhere to school policies in all areas of the school’s operation. 
- Strive for unity, harmony, and cooperation through tact, helpfulness, respect, and the recognition of individual differences and the special abilities and strengths of each teacher. 
- Conduct regular meetings with faculty that will deal both with routine school matters and with the stimulating exchange of ideas on issues of educational/philosophical interest and concern. 
- Support advisors in the academic guidance of students. 
- Maintain complete academic records on all students. 
- Oversee the grading and the reporting of standards and methods used by teachers in measuring student achievement. 
- Establish guidelines for proper student conduct and dress and address students and parents in timely, private fashion when transgressions occur. 
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance and citizenship. 
- Work toward a resolution of all problems - both routine and unique - as they arise. 
- Keep the Head of School informed of the general programs, activities, and problems of the school. 
- Assist in the admission process for the testing, interviewing, and evaluating of applicants for enrollment. 
- Maintain a comprehensive calendar of school events and keep the entire school community informed of various school programs and activities. 
- Oversee the coordination of the co-curricular and extra-curricular activity programs, including the planning and the presentation of school assemblies and programs. 
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Head of School. 
 
Qualifications: 
Bachelor’s degree; Master’s degree or higher in education or school administration preferred 
5 – 7 years' experience as a lead teacher and/or department chair 
2 – 3 years' experience as an administrative leader, preferably in independent schools 
Proven success at working collaboratively in educational leadership 
Dynamic instructional leader with a solid understanding of the developmental and curricular needs of middle and upper school students

About the Position:


The Middle/Upper School Humanities teacher will teach Middle School English classes, with the potential to teach a middle school and/or upper school social studies/history course(s). Additional responsibilities include serving as an advisor for a small group of students, offering a unique elective course or two, and collaborating with the Middle and/or Upper School team. There are additional opportunities to advise student clubs and/or coach academic or athletic teams. This position is for the 2025-2026 school year, and the candidate's employment will begin on August 1, 2025. This is a new position as our faculty and student size continue to grow, and exact courses will be decided amongst the humanities teaching faculty.

Requirements: 


- A minimum of a baccalaureate degree or equivalent in English/history/social sciences or equivalent experience within the field of education. Certification is preferred.

Middle School / Upper School Math and Science: 

The Clariden School currently seeks an experienced educator to serve as a middle school math and science teacher, with the ability to teach 1-2 sections in the Upper School (Chemistry is likely the science class in US) in the future. All teachers are asked to teach unique elective courses as part of their teaching load outside the core classes. Teachers also serve as advisors to a small group of students and there is potential to advise a club and/or after-school activity.  
 

The ideal candidate for this unique position would have: 
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in the subject area for which they teach and/or in education; a Master’s degree or higher preferred  
- A minimum of 5 years of teaching experience (teaching experience in IB a plus)

Teaching Load:

Clariden is currently seeking a part-time Spanish teacher who can teach students across various Middle and Upper School grade levels. The ideal candidate will have several years of teaching experience at either Middle and/or Upper School and be familiar with the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme. In the 2025-2026 school year, courses would include Spanish 1, Spanish 2, Spanish 3 and Spanish ab initio (years 1 and 2 from the IB DP). In future years, as we continue to grow, the teaching load would begin to increase from part-time to full-time and include IB DP Spanish Standard/Higher Levels. The ideal candidate would be available to teach across the week Monday-Friday with our tumbling, rotating schedule.

  • A minimum of a baccalaureate degree or equivalent in Spanish and/or education. Certification is preferred.

About The Clariden School:


The Clariden School is a not-for-profit, private, fully-accredited, college-preparatory school serving students PreK – Grade 12 in North Texas (Dallas-Fort Worth area). Clariden works to ignite student curiosity and problem-solving skills by first providing a program that addresses the whole student.
