Mission and Goals

Mission Statement
The mission of The Clariden School is to help children to become respectful, compassionate, and contributing members of society by providing a strong academic, personal, and social learning environment.

The Clariden School Approach
Our Casa, Primary, and Elementary classes follow the Association Montessori International (AMI) program. The Clariden School has selected this form of education for its Lower School because it most completely reflects our commitment to the total development of the child. Our Middle and High School programs, while more traditional in format, continue that commitment to individual development - academic, physical, social, and psychological.

The Goals of The Clariden School
The goals of The Clariden School are to help students reach their full potential in all areas of development including, but not limited to those listed below:

• Intellectual. Student will pursue a deeper understanding of knowledge through a process of thoughtful questioning, critical and creative thinking, and gathering of information using a variety of resources.
• Social. Student will be able to make responsible choices and use general problem solving skills in a variety of social situations.
• Cultural. Student will be exposed to and given the opportunity to experience diverse cultures and gain insights about themselves and others.
• Ethical. Student will be able to choose appropriate and respectful behavior based on school guidelines and philosophy.
• Physical. Student will adhere to all Clariden policies and procedures that promote their safety, development, and physical well-being.
• Career. Student will be given every opportunity to explore a wide range of career possibilities with a strong emphasis on the importance of higher learning in the achievement of these goals.
