Giving to The Clariden School
A history of generous charitable giving to TCS has made possible the beautiful campus we inhabit, the innovative programs we provide and the outstanding faculty & staff who guide our children to achieve their full potential. As we enjoy these gifts today, we are grateful to those before us who stepped up in leadership to show us the possibilities. And, we accept the torch that is passed on to us. Working hand in hand, the TCS community continues the tradition of generosity in order to bring beauty, innovation and guidance for the children of today and tomorrow. We do this through the following means and programs:
The Annual Fund
As with most successful independent schools, annual operating costs are covered only in part by tuition and fees, and in part by tax-deductible contributions from our TCS community. Each fall, our parents, grandparents, faculty, staff, board and alumni, make a pledge for their unrestricted gifts of cash or marketable securities for the current year. In this way, our community members play a direct role in providing the kind of school they desire for the children. The Annual Fund forms the foundation of the School’s giving programs. Capital & Major Gifts
Special gifts to TCS for Building Debt Reduction, Capital Expansion, or Endowment are welcome at any time, and naming opportunities are available. Campaigns specific to these purposes are announced from time to time.
Fundraising Events
A limited number of enjoyable events and programs are held each year. Proceeds go toward various identified opportunities to enrich our campus and program. The "Share the Dream” Dinner and Auction, hosted by the CPO, is an annual tradition which has provided thousands of dollars for equipment, educational materials and need-based tuition assistance. A raffle drawing, silent auction and live auction include donations from local businesses and artistic creations by our talented students. This is a highly anticipated social event you won't want to miss! Other fundraising projects may include Book Fairs, Store Rebate programs, Yearbook Advertisement Sale, and other occasional events. In addition, each teacher has a “wish list” of special items for the class or materials that exceed the current year's budget. Cash donations for wish list items are accepted at the auction or in the office at any time.
Gifts in Kind
Gifts of tangible items, new or used, are welcome and appreciated. Please check your teacher's wish list for smaller items that you may have on hand. For larger or bulk items, or technology equipment, please call the office first, as our systems have certain requirements and we have limited storage space. The Clariden School is a 501(c)(3), non-profit organization. All proceeds support the mission of the school through programs, administration and facilities. Donations are tax deductible as allowed by law.
