The Clariden School welcomes all applicants who embrace its mission, educational philosophy and methodology. There is an easy five-step process for families who seek admission to The Clariden School:
Inquire
Request a school brochure and review all information on the Web site to become familiar with the Clariden‘s programs and philosophy.
Visit
Schedule a visit to the school by calling 682-237-0400 or emailing admissions@claridenschool.org. Parents will spend about one hour touring the campus, observing classrooms and speaking with a representative from either Lower or Upper School about the program.
Apply
Submit an Application for Admission and $100 application fee. Parents should request records to be sent from any school previously attended.
Interview
Applicants will be contacted to schedule a time for the student to meet with a teacher after school in the classroom for 30 minutes to 1 hour, depending on age. This is an opportunity for the school to learn more about the child through conversation and informal presentation of lessons. Elementary and Upper School applicants may be invited to spend a day in a classroom.
Contract
Students who are accepted for admission and enrollment will receive an acceptance notice and a Student Enrollment Contract. The contract should be completed and returned along with the tuition deposit and any payment due, by the deadline date, in order to secure a space for the school year.
Students who are accepted for admission, but for whom a space is not currently available, will be placed in a waiting list, and may be offered an enrollment contract should an appropriate space become available before or during the school year. Applicants wishing to be reconsidered for another school year must re-apply. Date of application or admission does not necessarily determine priority in placement, which is based largely on the balance of age within each classroom. Returning students, siblings of current or former students, and transfer students from other Montessori programs may receive priority in placement.
The Clariden School does not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color or national or ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship or loan programs, or athletic and other school-administered programs. Admission decisions are based on the school’s determination of a good fit, for student and parents, within the Clariden community. Educational philosophy & goals, academic ability, social skills and level of commitment are all considered.
