What do Julia Child, Google Founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin, Jacqueline Onassis Kennedy, Amazon.com Founder Jeffrey Bezos, Princes Henry and William, Sean "P Diddy" Combs, Anne Frank, and author Gabriel Garcia Marquez all have in common? They all had the benefit of a Montessori education, like that offered at Clariden.
Our programs are designed to provide developmentally appropriate experiences at every level. We offer students exactly what they need, in the right amount and at the right time. At every level, whether during the school day or in our after school More to Learn programs, we take the individual's strengths, talents and interests into consideration to offer a truly personalized experience.
The Clariden Community, composed of students, parents, faculty/staff, Board members, and other friends of the school, is one of caring and respect. Students of all ages perform many hours of community services each year. Parents organize several special events to bring all members of our community together, at events such as the Family Picnic, Family Dinner and Dance, and the annual fundraising auction.
We are grateful for the continued support of our parents, alumni, grandparents, faculty, staff and friends. It is through the dedication of the Clariden School of Southlake's community that our vision and mission continue to thrive today.
The Clariden School of Southlake was founded over twenty-five years ago as a pre-school through sixth grade option for students in Northern Dallas and Fort Worth. In the late 1990’s, the school became a non-profit, independent school governed by a Board of Directors and in 2001, it moved to its new 23-acre campus in Southlake off White’s Chapel Boulevard.
The Clariden School is fully accredited and shares many qualities of fine independent schools throughout the United States. As a mission driven school, we strive to prepare students for life with a focus on academic, social and emotional learning that values the individual while teaching students the value of community and teamwork.
Our learning environment is open and friendly with a focus on safety and security. Currently, the campus has 5 buildings: Administration, Lower School (pre K-6th), Upper School (7th-12), Fine Arts (art, music, drama and Global Language Lab), and a gym/auditorium. The school is wired for today’s technology needs. Security cameras and a controlled access system monitor the entire campus. With a focus on developing strengths and talents, the Clariden School of Southlake is uniquely situated to lead the way in independent school, college preparatory education in North Dallas.
Who We Serve
We accept families who are invested in the full educational experience of their children: academic, social and emotional. We serve bright, curious children who are ready to learn and parents who desire to have their children explore more than simply conform. We carefully balance our learning communities so each child has an opportunity to lead, create, explore and socialize in an atmosphere of respect and cooperation.
